Tarabrae Mallee sired 18 foals in his short life, 10 of those being purebreds.
Beinn Kaldy Bheithir – a 2017 grey dun colt (gelded) out of Tarabrae Lechenaultia. Bheithir was the first purebred foal sired by Tarabrae Mallee and the first purebred foal born of our stud. Bheithir has stayed with our family and is owned and ridden by our eldest child.
Beinn Kaldy Faileas – a 2019 mouse dun filly out of Tarabrae Lechenaultia. Faileas has stayed with our stud and has since gone on to produce one foal to date, Beinn Kaldy Anam, who has been sold as a gelding to Western Victoria. Faileas will stay with us as a broodmare for the forseeable future.Senlac Soprano – a 2020 yellow dun filly out of Senlac Lyric. Filly has been retained by the Senlac Stud.
Beinn Kaldy BenRiach – a 2020 black/grey colt (gelded) out of Senlac Scotch Mist. Bennie was sold as a 3-year-old to the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne as a future ridding mount.
Beinn Kaldy Òran – a 2022 yellow dun colt (gelded) out of Senlac Lyric. Òran was sold as a weanling to NSW.
Beinn Kaldy Sionnach – a 2022 yellow dun filly out of Harkaway Lodge Stellar. Sionnach has stayed with our stud and will become one of our future broodmares.
Beinn Kaldy Banrigh – a 2022 bay/grey filly out of Senlac Grisabella. Banrigh has stayed with our stud as a potential future riding mount. Banrigh was born with a small deformity that eliminates her from any future breeding programs.
Senlac Mallee’s Image – a 2023 yellow dun filly out of Senlac Lyric. Filly has been retained by the Senlac Stud.
Beinn Kaldy Claidheamh – a 2024 cream dun colt out of Senlac Grisabella. Unfortunately, Claidheamh was only on this earth a short time and passed away at only 2 months of age.
Beinn Kaldy Mac Dubh – a 2024 black colt out of Tarabrae Lechenaultia. Being Mallee’s last foal and from a pairing we know has worked extremely well in the past, it was decided to keep Mac Dubh and grow him out as a potential future stallion for our stud.
As for the part breds;
Mallee sired two Thoroughbred crossed geldings, Beinn Kaldy Timbarra who has stayed with our stud as a ridding mount for my husband and Timbarra’s full brother, Beinn Kaldy Bundarra, who now live near the Dandenong Ranges.
Mallee also sired two Anglo Arabian crossed fillies who are full sisters, Beinn Kaldy Mareeba and Beinn Kaldy Allora. Both are now living at different locations in Gippsland.
Mallee also sired two other Arabian based crosses, a gelding Beinn Kaldy Jumbuk, who resided in Latrobe Valley before he passed away due to unfortunate circumstances, and the filly Beinn Kaldy Amaroo who also unfortunately passed away from a paddock accident while only 4 months old.
In addition to the above Mallee also sired a brumby crossed gelding, Apollo, who resides in Latrobe Valley as well as a Paint Horse crossed filly, Hazel, who also resides in Latrobe Valley at present. Hazel is currently for sale and listed on our website on her owner’s behalf.
